College & Career Advising

Workforce Solutions of West Central Texas' Youth Success Program meets students where they are with a career-focused approach to advising.

Workforce Solutions partners with rootEd Alliance, a national nonprofit that helps rural high school students achieve career success and strengthens America’s skilled workforce. rootEd places dedicated career advisors in rural high schools to support students in defining and realizing their career goals, whether through a college degree, workforce credentials, apprenticeship, or military service, while partnering with communities, states, and employers to close talent gaps and drive rural economic prosperity.

Our Youth Success Advisors are excited about all of the career possibilities that are available to students. They take a student-centered approach to education and career pathways by meeting one-on-one with regional seniors to discuss goals, barriers, and ways to pursue postsecondary education and training. Advisors have the knowledge, skills, and tools to help students figure out the pathway that best fits student interests, abilities, and ambitions. We can't wait to help students map out the road to success!
