Join Workforce Solutions of West Central Texas and local employers in the construction industry for a two-day working interview to Construct Your Career! Candidates will work alongside hiring employers to showcase construction skills by building sheds for donation to local veterans. At the end of this two-day event, candidates who have demonstrated top-notch technical and soft skills may be offered jobs or interviews on-the-spot from local construction contractors and sub-contractors.

Ways for Employers to Get Involved
In-Kind Sponsorships

Constructing Careers relies on the expertise of highly skilled professionals in the field of construction to guide participants during the two-day build. Groups of 4-6 team members will work together under the supervision of area employers to fully construct a shed using a variety of construction skills. Each team will be assigned a Superintendent and a Foreman. These are great opportunities to help develop, observe, and potentially hire an emerging labor force for careers in construction!

Team Superintendents

Needed on-site for the duration of the build and will remain with their designated team throughout both days. Must be able to commit to the full day and a half build.
