[ARCHIVED] Corporate Accounts Payable Specialist (Eastland)

Eagle Railcar Management LLC is seeking to add a Corporate Accounts Payable Specialist to their team. The Accounts Payable Specialist is tasked with administering all aspects of the accounts payable process in a paperless system. This function includes accurate entry of all vouchers from suppliers and vendors, maintaining vendor records, addressing inquiries from internal sources as well as vendors, processing weekly accounts payable check runs, accurate 3-way matching of receivers, purchase orders, and invoices for processing, as well as providing support to other departments on a variety of payable related issues. 



Responsibilities:


  • Review purchase orders, invoices, purchase receipt journals, and all other back up for each invoice.
  • Ensure consistent application with company policy of all expense reports including remittances to employees for validated business expenses. 
  • Enter invoices as they are received from suppliers and vendors. 
  • Maintain federal ID numbers for year-end reporting of 1099's. 
  • Reconcile monthly A/P statements and related transactions. 
  • Monitor discount opportunities by vendor. 
  • Analyze invoices to determine the correct GL Account. 
  • Review invoices for proper approval prior to processing. 
  • Reconcile and upload invoices to an electronic payment system. 
  • Coordinate with Accounts Payable Manager on all issues in a timely manner. 
  • Receive inventory in accounting software. 
  • Other projects and duties as assigned management. 

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent 
  • Minimum of two years of experience in accounts payable 
  • Basic Excel knowledge Familiarity with 3-way matching in A/P processes Team player, with a general understanding of accounts payable processes and procedures 
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadline
