Aircraft Mechanic II (Abilene)
Job Description
Aircraft Mechanics II must have a combination of experience to repair engines, sheet metal, and structural, hydraulic, electrical, power train and general mechanical maintenance of moderate difficulty, required to meet the assigned missions. Additionally, provides input to Maintenance Engineering Changes (MEC), Estimated Cost of Damage preparation (ECOD) and assist in the recommendation of changes to (MWO). Individuals must be able to prioritize workloads and are required to lead teams through more complex aircraft relevant tasks.

$35.81/hour
Responsibilities
- Must be knowledgeable of technical directives, Air Force Maintenance Programs, and shall be knowledgeable of and understand basic supply procedures.
- Aircraft Mechanic II shall have experience writing with clarity and technical accuracy, and exhibit leadership and ensure adherence to all applicable policies and procedures.
- Possess a high degree of expertise in the control and coordination of aircraft maintenance.
- Thorough working knowledge of applicable maintenance/technical manuals and publications.
- Thorough working knowledge of aircraft maintenance records.
- Working understanding of the aircraft and aircraft systems
Preferred Personnel Qualifications:
- 10 years or more of Organizational, Intermediate, and/or Depot level maintenance
- 3 or more years previously certified Aircraft Safe for Flight
- Experienced in Aircraft, Engine, ALSS, Egress, Armament, and Support Equipment Logbooks and Records entries.
- Advanced Corrosion Control Course/Paint and Final Finish
