Your responsibilities as a flux core welder are to read blueprints that tell you how to layout, assemble, and weld various components of pipes or equipment. Fabricate components to complete a project, this will include: cutting, welding, drilling and other techniques, Ability to work from blueprints and written specifications to meet customer requirements via MIG and TIG welding. You must understand proper safety techniques for using your welding equipment and inspect your finished products. Your duties may also include maintaining and repairing welding equipment, training apprentice welders on the skills they need for the job, and cleaning and preparing your work area and surfaces.
