The Texas Parks & Wildlife is currently seeking a full time Maintenance Supervisor I to join their Colorado City team.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
NOTE: Required to live on-site in State housing with a monthly deduction of $175.56. Housing rate is established by TPWD policy, calculated using federal guidelines, and may change according to market value.
Performs complex (journey-level) maintenance and construction supervisory work. Under the direction of the Park/Historic Site Superintendent, this position is responsible for management and supervision of the maintenance team and other alternative workforce and/or volunteers. Duties include training staff, Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) crew, other alternative workforce, and/or volunteers. Ensures safety and natural/cultural resource protection guidelines are followed. Coordinates work with TDCJ Officer, volunteers, park, and regional staff. Responsible for daily and long-term project plans, including progress reports and estimates. Coordinates purchasing of material and equipment needs. Maintains equipment and tools and submits required reports. Assists with park operations tasks, including maintenance of facility, equipment, grounds, and provides customer service as needed. Works under general supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Performs additional duties as assigned. Complies with all Agency, Division and Branch rules, regulations and procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Graduation from High School or GED.
Experience:
Three years facility, equipment, or grounds maintenance experience;
Two years experience as a supervisor or team leader, which may include oversight of paid staff, volunteers, or alternative workforces.
NOTE: Experience may have occurred concurrently.
Salary: $3,584.08 - $3,634.08 per month
