Betty Hardwick is currently seeking LVNs in Abilene.


Job Description:
  • The clinic nurse position is responsible for following Medication Clinic protocols.
  • Psychiatric services may be provided in face to face, telemedicine or other electronic means and competency in all these areas is required.
  • Non-direct care activities include prepping and auditing the medical records for each visit prior to assessment by the physician/physician extender or clinic nurse; requesting laboratory studies as outlined in the laboratory protocol; transcribing physician/physician extender orders as written; accurate calculation and writing of prescriptions of medication for physician review/signature, assessment and reporting to the physician any symptoms, adverse reactions or change in client status.
  • Regular attendance and timeliness is imperative.
  • Professional communication with other departments verbally, electronically and via social media both in and out of the workplace are expected.
  • Safe and appropriate use of company vehicles according to Betty Hardwick Center POI is expected.
  • This position must learn and become proficient in the use of Center computer software.
  • Responsible for completion of documentation to track New Generation Medications, payor sources, start/stop dates and reporting to Supervisor daily. License must be maintained as a condition of employment.
  • The position may work one to two Saturdays a month.
  • This position will practice nursing in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, Standards of Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing Practice and Code of Ethics.
  • This position will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of the storage and handling of all medication as required by the Texas Department of State Health Services, Texas Department of MHMR, Department of Public Safety and the Betty Hardwick Center POI related to Medication Related Services.

Minimum Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent plus LVN License 

Pay: $18.91 - $20.90
