The Texas Department of Criminal Justice in Snyder is currently seeking an Equipment Operator I - Truck Driver to join their team.
JOB SUMMARY
- Performs complex work in the operation of heavy and light equipment. Work involves coordinating the maintenance, operation, and repairs of equipment. Works under general supervision with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Education, Experience, and Training
- Graduation from an accredited senior high school or equivalent or GED.
- Experience in warehouse operations, inventory and stock control, and supply methods and procedures preferred.
- Experience in the operation and maintenance of tractor-trailer rigs preferred.
- Correctional custody or law enforcement experience preferred.
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL).
- Valid CDL Medical Examiner’s certification statement issued within the last two years.
- Successful completion of the current Texas Department of Criminal Justice freight transportation road test. Road test will be scheduled after the interview process.
- Must be registered with the U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse.
- Must maintain valid license and certification for continued employment in position.
SALARY: $3,006.41/month
