Maintenance Supervisor

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervises staff and inmates assigned to general maintenance of physical plant; plans, schedules and coordinates maintenance and/or new construction activity
• Evaluates maintenance needs and determines best method of repair or installation; outlines and directs a preventive maintenance program 
• Assists in preparation of budget estimates; maintains records and conducts correspondence related to work; maintains special security for all tools, equipment, chemicals, etc. which may be used as weapons.
• Assigns, supervises and evaluates work of employees and inmates; directs inmate apprenticeship training program in occupational areas; submits performance reports on employees and inmates
• Submits performance reports on employees and inmates; maintains discipline and enforces security measures
• Performs related duties as required

Required Knowledge Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Pay:

• $58,000.00 / Annually
