Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; current registered nursing license with the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners.
Job Knowledge:
- Maintain current BLS. ACLS and PALS within 6 months of hire.
- Must complete 20 hours of continuing education a year.
Job Summary:
- Directs nursing service activities of a single unit for an assigned shift.
- Guided by the standards for performance of Nursing Care, the charge nurse will coordinate patient care; assist with problem-solving, teaching and evaluating staff members on assigned shift.
- Will provide care for patients in various age groups from pediatrics to geriatrics.
