Essential Job Functions:
- Operate meter provers (devices used to verify flow meter accuracy) to test and calibrate liquid meters in the crude oil and refined products field
- Determine K-factor (pulses per unit volume) and meter factor (used to correct for ambient conditions)
- Verify linearity of meters over their calibrated flow range
- Maintain accurate records of testing data, meter performance, and maintenance activities
- Scheduling customer for meter proving
Job Requirements:
- Experience with working with meter provers
- Basic working knowledge of hand tools, computers, electricity (Low Voltage), and working knowledge of the operation of valves
- Must live within a 45-minute drive from Cross Plains, TX
- May be required to wear a self-contained breathing apparatus in an emergency so personal grooming and hygiene is a must
- Responsible for maintaining all work-related equipment
