Executive Administrative
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Executive Administrator serves an integral function in coordinating a fast-paced, highly engaged team. The position organizes the day-to-day business and activities of the City Administration Department and the Brownwood Municipal Development District (BMDD) and assists in all their functions.
EXAMPLES OF SPECIFIC WORK PERFORMED:
1) Manages correspondence, visitor, and phone traffic; 2) Provides administrative support; 3) Coordinates appointments and meetings of the City Administration office and the BMDD with various City departments, employees, boards, public and private entities, and the general public; 4) Oversees special projects; 5) Assists in the preparation of reports, BMDD documents (meeting agendas, board packets, minutes, budgets, resolutions, etc.), grant applications, news releases, annual reports and various other documents;
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Preferred B.A. or B.S. Degree in communication, business, English, or three or more years related experience.
Minimum of high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and two years of post-high school education or training in addition to three years of experience as an Executive Assistant or similar position providing broad-based governmental or executive administrative services; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge and understanding of relevant municipal statutes, rules and regulations is a plus.
SALARY: $3,532 - $4,987.83 per month
