The City of Brownwood is currently seeking a full-time Administrative Assistant.
EXAMPLES OF SPECIFIC WORK PERFORMED:
1) Perform administrative, computer, website, and general office duties; 2) Serve as receptionist, answer phones, and make website updates; 3) Log customer concerns and follow-ups; 4) Operate various office machine and equipment, to include, but not limited to, computer and Microsoft software, Laserfiche, and calculator; 5) Design various interdepartmental forms as needed; 6) Employ skillful techniques in dealing with the public through telephone inquiries and personal contact; 7) Prepare all items prior to meetings and for the Planning and Zoning Board; 8) Cover phone calls and lunch breaks for other administrative personnel; 9) Accept permit applications and route to the appropriate office; 10) Maintain weekly project list and schedule meetings, 11) Manage pool vehicle requests; 12) Oversee beverage vending machines and inventory
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or G.E.D. certificate; undergraduate or business school training in secretarial administration or related work experience, three to five years experience preferred.
Pay: $2,832 per month / $16.34 per hour
