Filing for Unemployment Insurance
Workers who are laid off through no fault of their own qualify to apply for Unemployment Insurance (UI). For more details, call (800) 939-6631.

In addition to being laid off, workers must be actively seeking employment, which is accomplished by registering for work within three workdays from filing their UI claim (those registering must be able to work).
